In Isaiah 42:6–7, the prophet foretold that God would give His Servant as a covenant for His people and a light to the nations. As we walk through Luke chapter 2, we will see how the birth of Jesus fulfills this covenant — giving us a King, bringing true joy, shining as our Light, and restoring us into a loving relationship with the Father through his sacrifice on the cross.

At the end of this Christmas series, we will see that the birth of Christ fulfills God’s covenant and points to the power of His cross—revealing His redeeming love that forms us as His people and calls us to deeper devotion to our King, joy in His salvation, faithful witness as His light in the world, and a restored relationship with our Father and one another through Jesus.
